Because Orange County is a separate jurisdiction from San Diego, projects here run through OC's own municipal building and planning departments, each city with its own permit rhythms. Airspace is a real planning factor: John Wayne Airport sits in the middle of the county and several smaller fields surround it, so drone operations almost always require LAANC authorization, which we secure in advance. Given the distance from our base, Orange County work is typically scheduled rather than same-day, and we plan field days efficiently to make the travel worthwhile.
